Our trips
A few favorites, and one way of traveling
We do not run fixed departures. We plan the trip around you, on your dates. The three below are the kinds of journey we know best, but they are a starting point, not a limit. If you have somewhere else in mind, tell us.

Europe on foot
Caminos and walking tours
Europe is laced with old footpaths that run from village to village: pilgrim routes like the Camino de Santiago and the Via Francigena, alpine circuits like the Tour du Mont Blanc and the Dolomites, and coastal paths along the Amalfi and Cinque Terre. We plan them at a pace that leaves room for long lunches, quiet churches, and conversation on the trail.
Your bags move ahead of you each day. Your bed is booked. You know where the good lunch is before you arrive. You just walk. Tell us the walk you have in mind, or let us suggest one that fits your legs and your calendar.

Walk where the story happened
Holy Land and faith journeys
Reading the Gospels on the shore of the Sea of Galilee is different from reading them at home. Our faith journeys are built for churches and small groups who want to encounter the biblical world with their feet as well as their minds.

Big country, on foot and beyond
North America's national parks
North America's national parks are best seen on foot, a few miles past where the parking lot crowds turn around, and they reward travelers who string a few of them together. Hike rim to river in the Grand Canyon. Drive the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper with a day on the trail at every stop. Watch bears fish in Alaska and walk on a glacier the same week. Link Zion, Bryce, and Arches across southern Utah, or Yellowstone and the Tetons across Wyoming.
We plan your days around the right trailheads, the early starts that beat the crowds, and the park lodges, permits, and shuttles that need booking months ahead. Trips range from lodge-based day hiking to backcountry nights under the stars. You choose the pace; we make sure the pieces are in place.

Andes to Amazon
South America
South America rewards travelers who like their days active and their evenings full. Trek the W in Torres del Paine or walk into Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate. Snorkel with sea lions in the Galápagos, ride horses across an Argentine estancia, or wander Cartagena's old city after a week in the coffee hills.
We plan the whole arc: the permits and refugios that sell out months ahead, the internal flights and border crossings, and the acclimatization days that make the altitude an adventure instead of an ordeal.

Safari, desert, and ancient cities
Africa and the Middle East
Some journeys change the scale you measure the world by. A dawn game drive across the Serengeti during the migration. Sunrise from the summit of Kilimanjaro. A night under the stars in the Sahara after a day in the Marrakech souks. The treasury at Petra appearing at the end of the siq.
We work with trusted local partners for the safaris and climbs, build in the rest days that long flights and early mornings demand, and pair wild places with the cities and cultures around them.

Temples, trails, and islands
Asia and the Pacific
Asia is where walking and culture meet most completely. Follow the thousand-year-old Kumano Kodo through cedar forest to a hot spring inn. Trek to Everest Base Camp or the Annapurna Sanctuary. Cycle the rice paddies of Vietnam, eat your way through Bangkok and Kyoto, or walk the Milford Track at the far end of the world.
We handle the parts that make these trips hard to self-plan: rail passes and inn bookings in Japan, trekking permits and guides in the Himalaya, and the connections between countries that turn a single destination into a journey.

Good questions
Things people ask before they book
Do I travel with a group?
That is up to you. We plan trips for couples, families, friends, and whole church groups. We do not run fixed departures, so your dates are your own. Tell us who is coming and we will build the trip around them.
How fit do I need to be?
If you can comfortably walk for two to three hours with a few hills, you can enjoy a Camino or Holy Land trip. Trekking trips in the national parks, Patagonia, or the Himalaya ask more: expect 6 to 12 miles a day with elevation gain. We will talk honestly with you about fit before you book, and every plan has options for tired legs.
What is included in the price?
Depending on the trip: lodging, most meals, ground transportation, luggage transfers, entrance fees, and permits, plus a detailed day-by-day plan. Flights to the start point and travel insurance are not included. Each trip page lists exactly what is covered.
When is the best time to go?
Spring and fall for the Camino and the Holy Land, when the weather is mild and the crowds are thinner. Summer and early fall for the national parks, once the high trails are clear of snow.
How does booking work?
Start with the contact form. We will talk through where you want to go and when, send a proposed itinerary, and hold your spot with a deposit once you are happy with it. Final payment is due 90 days before departure.
Can you plan a private trip for my church, family, or group?
Yes. Most of our faith journeys are built for a specific church, and we run private Camino and hiking trips for families and friend groups. Tell us your dates and group size and we will build the itinerary around you.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend it and can point you to providers we trust. Trip cancellation and medical coverage protect you if plans change or something happens on the road.
Still deciding?
Tell us what you are drawn to and we will help you pick. There is no wrong answer.
